Avi Bryant did a comparison between Ruby, Python and Smalltalk (of course). A mandatory reading if you want to understand the fondamental differences between langages. He started from the famous ?Ten Things a Java Programmer Should Know About Ruby?. One of those things is: ?Don’t worry about early performance optimization?Well, as it has been commented on Avi?s blog, they are good reasons to not worry about performance optimization. Looks like Ruby is a nice language but need probably some improvement to become more than an advanced scripting tool.Anyway, it stays a very nice and cool langage!
